February-March!

still FEBRUARY

K, so my friends and I did get to go to Winter Jam! It was so good and a lot of fun. I was super excited that Tenth Avenue North was there and performing!! I was upset that they only performed 3 songs but whatev, atleast I've gotten to see them live! I also discovered a bunch of new artist that I have to download their music. haha. I especially liked the band, Sidewalk Prophets, that performed a cover of Man in the Mirror. :)

Didn't do anything special for Valentine's Day...just another ordinary Sunday. Did laundry, homework and hung out with my beefs. :)

February 19-21: Went on an Adventure Friday with Hannah, Brittany and Damber!! yaya! We went into Shelby and stopped at the hospital for Brittany (so she pick up some volunteer papers), to a coffee shop and ink link so Hannah could get her industrial re-pierced. Yes! I love adventure Fridays, although they usually consist of going around boiling springs to discover places but this one was good too. Then, the next day was RA interview and carousal day! That went well, we had to go through different situations-planning an event, answering voicemails, hiring a staff and creating a commercial for the residence halls. We were in groups for this section so I wasn't by myself, PTL! haha. Then came the interview...dun dun dun. It went really well, I knew my interviewee person pretty well, Heather. She was great and the other two guys were cool too. yeah, it was 3 to 1. no bigs. I was the first one done, not sure if I should have taken that as a good sign or not, whatev. Then I went to go get some food because the cold cut sandwiches they served us are not my favorite. hah, oh the life of being a picky eater. Then I went to the lake and sat on a swing with Mary Catherine. So good! It was nice and relaxing. :) Later in the evening, Brittany, Mary Catherine, Gina, Darelle and I watched Zoolander. I love that movie and I was so happy that Darelle was there. He makes me smile. He is a good friend. He ended up running out of Decker because of something which was hilarious. Oh Darelle. Then Sunday, went to church, did homework and laundry, you know the usual. Had a Guatemala meeting/dinner with the gang. Had some really thin pizza. ha. Then after my meeting I went over to Hapy to help Phillip study for his German oral exam. Yes, I know what your thinking, me help someone study German? Crazyyyy. But I did and he said I helped, which is good. Although he could have been lieing, who knows.

Wednesday, 24: I went to all my classes and then I spent the entire afternoon/evening studying for Western Civ. yuck, i know but Phillip came and helped me study a bit before dinner and then Gina helped me study after my Guatie meeting. Then Phillip came to help again and Gina left. I learned that I actually can do group-ish studying, although that wasn't really group studying since they didn't have to study it but I think me saying it out loud helps a lot. So that's good to know, better late than never! I took the test the next morning and felt really good about it. When I got it back, I wasn't cringing and actually wanted to get it back, I got a 78% on it! yay! I'm definitely having study buddies in the future.

Thursday 25-28: I went on a road trip to Salisbury, MD to visit Sarah at graduate school at Salisbury University! yayayay! I had a road trip buddy for a good bit, I took Hannah to Richmond so that she could go home. :) I'm real glad she got the chance to go home. I had a good weekend. Christine came down from Pgh so that we could have a sister's weekend. We didn't do much but that was okay with me because I wanted to have a relaxing weekend anywaysss. I watched Season Three of The Office, went to a sushi bar (ew), tried on my bridesmaid dress (!!), baked a cake, watched The Ugly Truth and just hung out. So good. Came back on Sunday and made it back in time for guatie meeting at 7! boo-yah, we made good time (oh, picked hannah back up in richmond).

MARCH!

Started March off well by going to classes, working out, watching Chuck and bible study. :) Now, I watched Chuck in Hapy with Phillip and his friends, which is fine with me but the entire time I felt like it was awkward and I had no idea why. Couldn't really question it though because I had to leave to go to bible study. Oh well. On Wednesday, I went to go see the play Big Brother to support Darelle. That was one weird play but it was good, nonetheless just not really my type of play. Friday I found out that I did get the RA job, on decker and on the same floor that I'm living now! yayayay! and I got my computer fixed from having a virus, hallelujah. Then I went to Kings Mountain to spend the night with Melissa! We cooked dinner-lemon pepper chicken and spongebob mac 'n cheese (supplied by me) and then we went to go see a musical that her town was putting on called Radio Gals. It was super cute and I liked it a lot. Made me miss going to see musicals a lot. Then we went back to her house and watched The Soloist, which is really good. We then went to bed, I slept in her brothers bed (he wasn't there for the weekend) and it was most definitely one of the best night of sleep I've ever gotten in my life. No joke. I didn't want to wake up! We then watched the morning show where we discovered Jamie Cullum, an amazing singer/song writer. Look him up. We then went to the Kings Mountain Emporium until Mary Catherine arrived. Then Mary Catherine and I went to Charlotte just to hang out. We ended up going shopping (I didn't buy anything!) and went to actual downtown Charlotte and just walked around. We ended up at a Starbucks playing Farkle. haha. We then left to go to Elevation Church. It was so good. I'm so glad that I got to go back to it, I wish it wasn't an hour away otherwise I would totally go there every Sunday. oh hum. We then came back and I popped in Newsies and was about to change into sweats when Phillip texted me and asked if I was going to be busy later to which I said no, i am just watching a movie. So we made plans to get together and "talk." *Side note-we didn't talk at all this past week beside me telling him that I got a good grade on my WC test and me saying that I saw him outside the coffee shop when I passed him.* So I knew this conversation wasn't going to be a good. So Ididn't change into sweats although I probably could/should have. Well we met and he ended things between us. He said that he didn't see us going anywhere in the future and that he didn't feel comfortable continuing the way we were with me being ready for a relationship and him not being ready. whatev. I am doing alright. I cried after we parted, that's only natural but I did see this coming for the past week since we didn't talk all week. It just sucks because we said the cliche thing that we'll still be friends buttt I have not talked to him since and he has definitely made it awkward because one time in the caf he did a complete 360 to avoid me and according to Tori he looks in my direction when he passes. Whatever. I'm fine with it. I just wish it wasn't awkward because he is a cool guy and I want things to be okay with us because over these past few months he has basically turned into one of my best friends because honestly, I told him everything. That happens. I want to be friends with him! Also, he still has a season of Smallville so I need to get that back from him! and he needs to start not being awkward around me if he wants to watch the rest of them! haha. When I got back from talking with him, Hannah, Steph and Tori all came out and I told them what happened and then we all just sat out there and talked, made me laugh which was good. Then Megan and Lauren eventually joined. We all just talked about random things but it was so good. I love my friends, they've got my back. Tori, Lauren and I stayed up talking until 2 am!! ahah, so late!

That basically brings up to date! I leave for Guatemala tomorrow morning at 4! crazyyyyy. but I'm so excited. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me and everyone else on the trip. It'll be a blast. I'll definitely be journaling while there and then update on here so you guys can all see what I experienced. :)

peace. pray for me.
