"Damn Girl"

Usually used as a term of endearment between couples, from a guy to a girl or between friends NOT when a guy drives by a lone girl walking downtown on her way to the car after work. Especially when the guy is old-ish and creepy. :/

SharedTalk

I am chatting at the moment with two guys from different countries and I now have another penpal!! I am using SharedTalk.com which is a free service provided by Rosetta Stone where you can put down what languages you are fluent in and what languages you want to learn so then people can contact you. You then just start chatting and get to know each other. It is really awesome. and I'm enjoying it at the moment. Excuse me, I must be getting back to the gentleman. ;-)

68 daysss

Bonding

My co-summer helpers and I went out to lunch today. It was all good. We went to Bruegger's Bagels while Steve went to hunt down Quizno's. We walked around for a bit and then finally got to eat. We had good conversations during lunch about where the good places to go downtown were. Not that I was that interested but paid attention, none the less. Our hour was soon up and we headed back. Our bonding time continued since the computer was locked, so the girls tried to convince Steve that it was okay for him and Amanda to leave at 4. It was highly entertaining, we tried to get them to have a rock paper scissor match. Best out of 3 with Amanda even saying that she was going to be throwing rock everytime. There were many other suggestions that were laughed over. We had a good time. The most I laughed while being here. Maybe, co-workers lunch will happen more often. I definitely enjoyed it and it was nice not to have to eat with my father. I am definitely a daddy's girl but I have spent more than enough quality time with him. Maybe it's time to stop eating with everyday. Hmm...definitely something to think about.

On a different note, I found out today that my ex-boyfriend has a girlfriend. Not that shocked or upset about it. I'm more upset that he told my friend and knew that she would tell me. Don't be a coward and just tell me. A text message would have sufficed. But whatever. I'm over it. I'm more than okay with being awkward aquaintances with him for 3 more years. Bring it on. I long for awkward situations because I can create awkward very easily since I don't talk much and never know what to say.

Now I am about to leave work since my dad didn't come in because of Aunt Jean's Viewing this afternoon and another tonight.
69 daysss.
Peace.

What A Weekend

So much happened this past weekend. Friday, I had a splitting headache that started at work so to avoid taking medicine, I decided to take a nap and hoped that it would go away. I woke up at around 6 and still had it so I finally took some advil. The headache was so bad that I couldn't fall asleep for 30 minutes. Gah, it sucked but I fell sound asleep eventually and didn't wake up until the next morning around 8:30. Yes, I was awake that early on a Saturday. Hey, I got more than enough sleep, I was ready to be up. Plus, my parents were making a raucous in the house and having become a light sleeper I woke up. It's good that I woke up that early though, there was a reason why my parents were making such a raucous in the house. I was told to come downstairs when ready so I threw on pants (sometime in the night, I took off of my pants-ha) and went to the kitchen and took a seat. That's when my mom told me that my aunt, my mom's sister, died sometime in the night. woah. what a shock. She was in her mid-fifties and has been in the hospital/rehab since late October since her accident. This was completely unexpected. RIP Aunt Jean. I know you're up there with God and Grandma having a grand old time.

Well since I wasn't tired, I turned on some Gilmore Girls, took a shower and got ready. I then went out and did some errands-bought some teeth whitening strips, floss, a cosmetic brush, cartilage earrings, sent a package in the mail, returned my Old Navy swimsuit, and bought part of my graduation gifts for my peeps. And I also got the car cleaned for free! It didn't really need it but Erika's church was doing a free car wash, so why not plus I got to see Erika and everyone that I'm probably not gonna see for awhile because I don't think I'm going to Creation this year. Sad. Anyways, I got home at like 3ish and quickly changed and got ready to head to Anna's house so we could leave for the Kenny Chesney Concert! Anna, Jared and I headed on our way to a marvelous night! We parked at a parking meter for $2 when other people were going to parking garages and paying $20-30. Ridiculous. That was fabulous that we got to park for so cheap! Parking for so cheap meant that we had to walk more but that was more than ok. We're all young and I was wearing my chacos, so I was good to go. ha. We were a little late so we missed the first band performing, Lady Antebellum, which out of the 4 performing before Kenny were the ones I wanted to see most. oh well. The night was fabulous none the less. Couldn't have asked for a better day. I was a little worried that it may rain since it's been raining but it didn't. :-) Awesome.

Aside from Kenny and everybody else putting on a good show, while we were waiting for them to set up for Kenny, we had an intermission show that wasn't scheduled. There was almost a fight right in front of us. Some drunk Pittsburgher found out that a group behind him a bit was from Cleveland but were Detroit Flyer fans. The drunk Pittsburgher kept dropping the F-bomb every other word and it got pretty intense. Truthfully, I'm really sad that it didn't turn out to be a fight, it would have been so cool to see that as long as no one got hurt, of course.

There were also many other entertaining happenings going on like the 2 girls who were completely wasted. It was the ones 21st birthday so to celebrate, they got drunk and came to the concert. They were all over the place. Dancing, going crazy, trying to get in on the fight, making out with guys, you know, the crazy drunk stuff girls do. It was highly entertaining. There was also the old lady who asked Jared to watch her jacket while she went to go take a cigarette break and he had to ask her to repeat it 3 times because she had no teeth. ew. but oh so hilarious. There was also the couple in front of us, who got into a "disagreement" more than once, and the mom behind us who was trying to be 20 something when she clearly wasn't. Twas a good night.

There was also some good conversations that happened. Anna and I got a little background information into Jared's love life or rather non-existant at the moment. Sad. But we heard about his past girlfriends and how they all are married now and he's not. Sad. I truly don't understand why he isn't snatched up yet. He is a perfect gentleman, he made sure that Anna and I didn't get lost or raped or anything when we were leaving among the masses. So sweet, and he loves Jesus with all his heart. Seriously, I just don't understand. I really wish that I can find a man half as wonderful as Jared is.

We got home late so I went straight to bed and didn't wake up until 1:30. I slept through church. :( and it was senior recognition sunday. crap. I felt so bad when my mom told me that. I immediately sent out a text to Craig and Karen, apologizing for my absence. We're cool now. There wasn't a problem to begin with but you know. I really wanted to be there for my seniors especially for Craig because I can't make it to his graduation on Friday. I got a quick shower and headed out the door with my parents to Slippery Rock for Mrs. Angelini's Ordination Service at Camp Crestfield. That was a service filled with laughter, especially Mrs. Angelini's cotagious laugh that will definitely be heard at any event where she is. I didn't realize that my mom and Mrs. Angelini grew up together so my mom knew a whole crap load of people at that thing. Interesting. On the way home, we stopped for ice cream. Mmm...a medium soft serve cake cone of chocolate dipped in chocolate. My favorite. So good and the first of the year. :-) A good way to end the day.

70 days.
peace.
