my last weekend in boiling springs/shelby before easter break was an interesting one. it was good, amazing but interesting. so saturday afternoon i spent my time at the river with my awesome friends-brown amy, lauren, hannah, brittany, and jane. it was getting close to dinner so we left but we came up with the idea to grill hot dogs by the river :) so we went to ingles and got a ridiculous amount of hot dogs and headed straight back to the river! lindsey, travis and chelsea came to join us for dinner. it was a successful dinner. after dinner, we all eventually ended up back our 'spot' where we always go to hang out. lauren and i were the first ones there and we got to talk and watch the sunset over the water. so gorgeous. then everyone else meandered their way on over, after brown amy scared the living daylights out of lauren and i. not cool. so we all were hanging out and just enjoying being there when we all notice that some guy is standing there. ok cool. he was just standing there, being a creeper and what not. finally after about 2 minutes, brown amy asked if we could help him and just said that he wanted to see how long it would take for us to notice a stranger. omg. seriously? clearly, we all noticed him but none of said anything at all because none of us knew what to do. meanwhile, my hand was being squeezed to bits by lindsey. she was scared out of her mind. she has never been in a situation like that and neither have i but she was so scared. so the guy just stayed there creepily for another probably 5 minutes and he finally left. not long after he left did we all leave because we all were worried. we had no idea what he wanted, etc. thankfully we all made it safely back to campus unharmed and some a little jarred from what had just occurred. only in boiling springs would this happen.
Also, monday night, i went with lauren(a girl from my hall) who is a rascal flatts fan like me to go buy their new cd at walmart that came out on tuesday. we walk into the store at 12 and head directly to the electronic section. we see the new dvd's are out so we assume the new cd's are out. we look around for a bit but to no avail we do not find them. so lauren asks the lady if they have put them out yet. and she flat out says no. so we ask her if she can get them for us and she says if she has time that she will go and 'try' and find them. bc clearly, they are not just sitting right there in plain sight. so like 8 minutes later she comes back with the cds, thank goodness she could 'find' them. she rings us up but she is not happy about it. we just caused her precious time that she could be doing something else, right. too bad the customer is always first. needless to say it was an interesting trip. only in shelby would they not put the cd out right at midnight. who puts new cds out in the morning anyways? apparently the walmart in shelby. lame.
