Yesterday, Sunday 1/24, was a good but long day. The day started out well. Woke up around 9 to get ready for church. I was ready before I had to be so I sat down at my desk to enjoy some coffee cake but there was mold on it so I had to scrounge up something else to eat really quickly from the room. Megan and I then proceeded to church at BRCC. Stephanie and Jill were there when we arrived so we sat with them. Church was really good. Matt talked about Phillipians 4:8-9. He talked about not putting off thinking about important things and that you shouldn't have a careless attitude about anything, that's not how life works (he didn't say it exactly like that, i've paraphrased, etc). The music was good too. The CDH (Community Discipleship House) guy who is letting the CDHer's live in his house played the guitar and sang. He is really good, I like him. They sang a new song that I really really loved. I looked it up and it's called By Our Love by Christy Nockels. New favorite artist? I think so. I bought one of her CDs. After church, Megan and I ate in the caf. Good ole fried chicken. haha. Then, I came back and changed into me comfy clothes and started in on the homework that I didn't get done the day before. I took a break with Brittany to go pick up the pottery that we had painted the week before! It looks so cool. I painted a mug with a unique handle. I love it. I used it immediately when I got back to the room. I finished up the rest of my homework by 4 so I had the rest of the day to just relax and hang out and that I did! I started to watch an episode of Chuck but haven't finished it yet because it was dinner time. Went to dinner with Megan and Hannah. Nothing that great, I had pizza and some veggies. Then came back and hung out with Hannah while she ate. Then Brittany, Hannah and I went to the meal at BRCC. It was a chili cook off so that's why I ate before I went although I did get me some cornbread and fritos. Yum. We came home and I didn't do much. I looked up some summer stuff, I searched for something like The Pittsburgh Project but so far haven't found anything, I have also looked at The Pittsburgh Project and Lambec for staff options and they are definitely an option. I would much rather prefer to stay in NC but we'll see. Then I made some phone calls. I called my parents, Karen and Erika. SO GOOD. Talking on the phone with Erika made me miss her like whoa, big time. (I should probably mention that Phillip was on the hall hanging out with Lauren while I was on the phone the entire time. We didn't get to talk that much because well, I was on the phone and he was hanging with Lauren, which is fine but he sent me a text after he left apologizing for not really getting the chance to talk earlier. I was not expecting that at all since he was not up here on D3 to hang out with me but that's cool, i guess. I don't understand boys, just gonna put that out there.) After making my phone calls I went to Gina's room. We were going to watch The Real World but she invited a friend over so we couldn't but I stayed anyways. Her friend, Mary Catherine and I, colored Spongebob coloring book while Gina read for NT. Lame, I know. Gina epically failed at entertaining her guests. haha. After we were done coloring and Gina reading, we just hung out and talked for a bit. Mary Catherine is a sweet and awesome girl. I want to hang out with her more. :) I found out that she likes someone that someone else I know likes. What a small world. Geez. Anyways, it turned 11 and she left and I was exhausted so I came back to my house and got ready for bed. It was pouring, well monsooning outside when I returned to my room and B was sleeping so I sat in the little cove, I guess, of my room and just watched the rain pour down for a bit. I love rain so so so much. After a short bit of that, I finally got in bed and immediately was out.
