elevation church

i was in Charlotte with Stephanie this past weekend so i went to church with her. AND IT WAS AWESOME! we went to Elevation Church. first off, i got a free tshirt just because i was a first time guest! how sweet is that?! but seriously. i really really loved this church. (a little background information-this church has 5 locations. the pastor speaks at one location and they record it and then play it at the other locations. they still have live music at all the locations, which is sweet. it takes a little to get used to but once u are used to it, you kind of forget that you are watching him on a screen.) the pastor was so so so passionate about it. the church started a new series this sunday and i am sad that i will not be able to attend the rest. if it was not an hour and a half away i would totally make that my new 'home' church. yes, it is that good. the pastor brought up one idea that i really liked and am going to try and apply to my life. he, himself did it. he made a rule in college that from all the times he heard about the Lord at any type of service, he would try to pull one thing out from it and apply it to his life. therefore calling it, the one thing. i think that is an awesome idea especially since i hear the word of the Lord so many times in one week. sometimes it is a little overwhelming and i don't know what to do with all that i learned. so i think taking the time to think about that one thing that i can take out of the sermon and apply to my life will be very beneficial. i look to doing this.

and since it is an hour and a half away, meaning there is no possible way to go there, i will be watching online! to keep me updated and to learn so much more. check it out. you'll thoroughly enjoy it, i promise. www.elevationchurch.org

oh and another thing. i thought it was really really awesome. i got a phone call yesterday from a lady that works for the church just asking me how i was, how i enjoyed the service and if i had any questions. i don't know of too many places that do that. i enjoyed it.
